So, i've been in my apartment now for 2 months exactly. What an interesting two months it has been. Aside from my scary dryer hook up story, nothing crazy has really happened to that extent....but lets see.
- I finally started to hang some wall art that i have.....nothign major but i've finally begun to do this......although, when you don't have someone helping you, one can certainly put several holes in the wall trying to make it hang straight. hang it, step back, evaluate, begin again. yeah. that's fun.
- This morning, I was drying my hair before going to church (at GCC) and well. My hair is long. So by the time it is dryed, i'm HOT. Almost to the point of sweating. And my shirt that I was gonna wear this morning was in the dryer. And, well, when you pull anything out of the dryer RIGHT AFTER it has finished drying....it's hot too. And I had NO desire to put on a shirt that was that hot.....and I needed to go soon....soooooo. .I put the shirt in the freezer.
Only took about 5 minutes and I was good to go!
-Oooh....I got a new set of knives. A REALLY NICE set....I love to cook so I was really excited about having good knives. Well, I'd used almost ever knife in the set up until a week ago....I even made homemade bread so that I could use my bread knife.
BUT. The one knife I'd not used was the BIG knife. You know....the BIG SCARY looking knife......I had NO IDEA what I would even use it for! Who needs a knife that big? I was really wanting to use it (i'm a nerd....admitted) so I went to the store to see what I could find to use it on.
I came home with a watermelon.
That's about it for now. let me just say.....roommates are amazing and it is MUCH better to share these silly experiences with someone rather than on your own. ...which is why they are now on facebook.
